Sweet kisses for her little sister.

For the most part, Avery was smitten with "baby" and wanted to hold her and shared some nice kisses with her. Not to say it's all been roses though, Avery has been naughtier than usual and definitley acting out for some attention.
This is where the story takes a turn for the worse. Mark and I had to take Mallory in for a routine check-up Tuesday and since Avery had a cough that she couldn't kick (which started getting considerably worse Monday) we decided to bring her in for a check too. Their pediatrician was very quick to diagnose Avery with a viral lung infection (aka pneumonia) and told us in all seriousness that Avery was to go nowhere near Mallory - that we had to set up a quarantine in the house because Avery's infection was that serious and would be BIG trouble if Mallory caught it! Needless to say, that is not the news Mark and I were expecting to hear. The only bright spot to the story is that Avery and Mallory's Grammy and Bapi were arriving that night as back-up - we're not sure quite how we would be surviving if they weren't here to help. We literally have Mallory quarantined in our bedroom with Avery able to have free reign in the rest of the house.
It has been less than ideal conditions to set up a good first bond between Avery and Mallory but we'll get past this!
